Job - Veterinarian - Villenave-d'Ornon 33 We are recruiting a veterinarian M/F to join a veterinary clinic located in Villenave-d'Ornon, Gironde, as part of a self-employed collaboration. Structure DNA This 2,100 m² veterinary clinic is dedicated exclusively to referral and specialty canine medicine. The facility is equipped with high-level technical facilities, including advanced imaging (scanner and MRI), six operating theatres, extensive hospitalization capacities and fifteen consultation rooms. Care covers a wide range of specialties, including surgery, ophthalmology, reproduction, neurology, dermatology, internal medicine, oncology and brachytherapy. The multidisciplinary team is large and well-structured, with twenty-nine veterinarians, including nine specialists, twenty-three veterinary assistants, eight receptionists and two animal handlers. The Emergency and Continuing Care department is organized with a day team and a night team to guarantee continuity of care. Finally, the town of Villenave-d'Ornon offers a pleasant living environment close to Bordeaux, with convenient amenities and easy road access. Description and duties You will play an essential role in emergency and intensive care management, ensuring continuity and safety of care for hospitalized patients. Your duties will include - Welcome and assess emergency patients, from routine reasons to life-threatening emergencies - Manage frequent cases such as road accidents, feline urinary syndromes, dyspnoea, acute digestive disorders, poisoning, wounds and haemorrhages - Implement stabilization and resuscitation protocols in conjunction with referring veterinarians - Perform emergency procedures: imaging, infusion, anesthesia, monitoring, intensive care and continuous surveillance - Ensure follow-up of overnight hospitalizations, monitoring of operated animals and transmission of information to the day team to guarantee continuity of care - Work closely with the ASVs and the medical team to organize care and optimize quality of care Compensation For this position, you will be paid a fixed salary for each shift completed, plus a variable portion corresponding to 7% of sales (excluding VAT) generated.
