Why a career as a nurse in Bordeaux?
A dynamic and welcoming metropolis
As the regional capital of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, Bordeaux offers an exceptional living environment, blending modernity with the mildness of the South-West. The nursing profession in this city is part of an innovative hospital environment, supported by the Bordeaux University Hospital, specialized clinics with a strong reputation, and a dense network of primary care facilities.
The UNESCO-listed historic center, the banks of the Garonne, the many green spaces and neighborhoods such as Chartrons and Bassins Flot make Bordeaux as pleasant to live in as it is to work in. The tramway, bicycle paths and TGV high-speed train link with Paris (2 hours) make it easy to get around.
A very active market for Bordeaux nurses
The Bordeaux conurbation, with a population of almost 800,000, is experiencing sustained population growth. The need for care is increasing, leading to an intensification in the recruitment of nurses, whether in the hospital, liberal, medical-social or associative sectors.
Whether you're looking for a position in EHPAD, in home care, in an oncology department or in the operating theatre, Bordeaux offers a wide range of opportunities. It is also an excellent starting point for professionals wishing to upgrade their skills or specialize.
