We are actively seeking an optical technician/sales associate (M/F) to join an optical store located in Beausoleil, in the Alpes-Maritimes department, for a permanent position.

- One day off per week on a rotating schedule, with a 3-day weekend every 3 weeks
The Company
This is a premium-positioned optical store located in Beausoleil, just outside the Principality of Monaco. The store stands out for its approach that combines technical, sales, and customer-service elements, offering expertise in vision care, personalized advice, a selection of designer eyewear, and affordability—thanks to the “100% Santé” program and direct billing. The vast majority of customers are covered by Monaco’s social security system, which significantly streamlines administrative tasks: there are no price caps on frames or set fee schedules, and fewer procedures related to supplemental insurance, exemptions, and follow-up reminders. In addition, you’ll join a close-knit team consisting of a store manager, three staff members, and an apprentice, within a facility that plans to undergo renovations next year to accommodate a telemedicine service.
Compensation
- €30,000 to €45,000 gross per year, depending on your profile and experience
- Performance-based bonuses, calculated based on margin and revenue generated
- Team bonuses and margin-based bonuses paid twice a year
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers and providing personalized advice on selecting frames and eyewear accessories
- Selling to a discerning clientele with high average basket sizes
- Managing insurance claims and interactions with health insurance providers
- Managing inventory and restocking contact lenses
- Occasional workshop tasks
- Providing post-sale customer support
