As part of its business expansion, a private hospital group in Vénissieux, in the Rhône department, is seeking a new psychiatrist (M/F) for a salaried position.

The Organization
This is a private hospital group located in the southern part of the Lyon metropolitan area, affiliated with a long-established healthcare group operating in several regions of France. The facility employs more than 500 staff members across three main departments: surgery, medicine (including an emergency department and a maternity ward operating as a private healthcare facility of public interest [ESPIC]), and a long-term care facility (EHPAD). Your role consists of two complementary parts, divided equally between the addiction treatment division and the consultative psychiatry department within the facility. In addition, the site is easily accessible, as it is served by the tram and several bus lines, and is located in close proximity to the metropolitan area’s major highway routes.
Compensation
For this position, you will receive a gross annual salary of €100,000, based on full-time employment.
Responsibilities
- Providing care in inpatient settings, day hospitals, and in collaboration with the addiction liaison and treatment team
- Conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing follow-up care for patients with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders
- Participating in the determination of treatment guidelines and in weekly review meetings
- Co-facilitating therapy groups and providing clinical supervision to teams
- Contributing to internal training and prevention initiatives
- Providing psychiatric consultations in medical departments (emergency, oncology, maternity, geriatrics, pain management, and palliative care)
- Supporting healthcare teams in managing psychological distress
- Collaborating with physicians and department directors
- Development of consultative psychiatry and promotion of a mental health-centered approach among healthcare providers

Qualifications
A psychiatrist licensed in France or the European Union, currently registered or eligible for registration with the French Medical Board. Experience in consultative psychiatry and/or addiction medicine is preferred.
