As part of its business expansion, a psychiatric facility in Lormont, Gironde, is seeking a new psychiatrist (M/F). All employment statuses are welcome.

The Facility
You will join a facility specializing in the treatment of mental illness and the care of those suffering from psychological distress, serving a large area stretching from the Bordeaux metropolitan area to the southern part of the Gironde department. The range of care services covers adult, pediatric, and adolescent units, specialized care pathways, and forensic psychiatry. In addition, the facility has significant overall capacity, with inpatient beds and alternative care options distributed across numerous facilities. The admission unit in question is a 30-bed inpatient unit that cares for adult patients with mood disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, suicidal crises, and addiction-related issues. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes managers, nurses, nursing assistants, a psychologist, a special education teacher, social workers, and additional medical staff.
Compensation
- Salary ranging from €55,000 to €124,000 gross per year, to be determined based on employment status
Responsibilities
- Organize regular medical follow-ups for patients
- Systematically update the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Meet with families as needed
- Write and track medical prescriptions using the facility’s software
- Prescribe therapeutic activities and ensure compliance with the care plan’s recommendations
- Conduct additional tests and coordinate with other specialists and the department’s general practitioner
- Request or renew MDPH files
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary review meetings and collaborate with the community care coordinator
- Participate in on-call care by taking shifts
- Occasionally prescribe isolation rooms
- Draft monthly certificates as needed
