A veterinary clinic in Villenave-d'Ornon, in the Gironde department, is seeking a new veterinary neurologist (M/F) for a permanent position or a private practice arrangement.

The Practice
You will join a veterinary clinic specializing in canine care, located in Villenave-d'Ornon, with a 2,100 m² facility and state-of-the-art equipment. In addition, the clinic provides referral and specialty care, with services covering surgery, advanced imaging, ophthalmology, reproduction, neurology, dermatology, internal medicine, oncology, brachytherapy, hospitalization, and chronic pain management. The facility includes 6 operating rooms, 15 examination rooms, and a 24/7 emergency and inpatient care unit. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of about twenty other practitioners—including several specialists—as well as specialized veterinary assistants and front-desk staff, in close collaboration with the imaging, surgery, internal medicine, and emergency departments.
Compensation

Responsibilities
- Management of referred neurology cases, including specialized consultations, diagnoses, neurological evaluations, treatments, and follow-up
- Managing neurological cases from the emergency department and inpatient care
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as nerve and muscle biopsies, advanced imaging (MRI, CT scan), and electrophysiological testing
- Defining and implementing medical and/or surgical treatment protocols in coordination with the relevant teams
- Participating in multidisciplinary consultation meetings and contributing to the professional development of the medical team
- Providing educational and empathetic support to pet owners to help them understand the diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis
- Supervising and training junior veterinarians and veterinary technicians on best practices in referral neurology
- Contribute to the development of the neurology department and the structuring of the future veterinary hospital
