We are recruiting a veterinarian M/F to join a veterinary clinic located in Cognac, Charente, on a permanent contract.

This clinic, a member of a national network created in 2016 and present in over 240 establishments, offers comprehensive veterinary care in the heart of a lively region. The facility occupies 350 m2 and is mainly devoted to companion animals, with a primarily canine activity. The team is made up of three veterinarians and six veterinary auxiliaries, and the working atmosphere is characterized by friendliness, collaboration and high standards of care. The Cognac location offers an attractive living environment with vineyards and cultural events, with Bordeaux an hour away and Angoulême 35 minutes away.
Description and missions
You will be working as a canine general veterinarian in a facility with five consultation rooms, two surgery rooms and a full laboratory including high-performance tools in hematology, biochemistry, endocrinology, urinalysis and artificial intelligence-assisted cytology. Equipment available includes two ultrasound scanners, a digital X-ray machine, a dental station, ECG, tonometer, therapeutic laser and a connected microscope for presentation to owners. The surgical activity covers convenience and soft-tissue surgery, with occasional recourse to a specialist for complex procedures. The clinic also provides hospitalization with separate kennels and catteries, including a contagious area. Working hours are organized around a maximum of four days a week. On-call duty is scheduled as part of a shared on-call rota with six partner structures, with call regulation to ensure the safety of those involved. On-site accommodation is available.
Compensation
For this position, you will benefit from a remuneration based on the collective agreement, increased according to your expertise, with the possibility of choosing between a salaried contract or a liberal collaboration.
