A small, independent veterinary clinic located in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, in the Aveyron region, is seeking a new canine veterinarian (M/F) for a permanent position.

- Part-time permanent contract
- Fixed schedule of 150 days per year, approximately 3 days per week
- Private practice also an option
- 1 evening on call per week
- One weekend or holiday on call every 5 weeks
- Start date: December 1, 2026
The Practice
This is an independent, small-scale veterinary clinic with a close-knit team of six veterinarians and five veterinary technicians, operating in a friendly atmosphere driven by a genuine culture of mutual support and collaboration on clinical cases. The team stands out for the complementary nature of its members’ expertise, with practitioners specializing in orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery, cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, as well as general medicine—ensuring high-quality daily care. The position focuses exclusively on canine patients; consultations for exotic pets are extremely rare. Furthermore, Villefranche-de-Rouergue offers a pleasant living environment with all the amenities of daily life, a train station providing easy access to Toulouse, and a central location approximately one hour from Rodez, Cahors, Albi, or Montauban.
Compensation
For this position, you will receive compensation based on the collective bargaining agreement, which may be increased by 10 to 20 percent depending on your experience and working hours.
