Nurse Job Opening (M/F) - Fessenheim 68
We are hiring a state-certified nurse (M/F) to join a company in the nuclear sector located in Fessenheim, in the Haut-Rhin department, under a permanent contract.
JobDescription and Responsibilities
In this role, you will work exclusively on medical and radiological on-call shifts at a nuclear power plant currently undergoing decommissioning. Your responsibilities include:
- Managing medical and emergency on-call duties
- Conducting whole-body radiation monitoring on staff
- Participating monthly in a team meeting and skills maintenance session
- Being on call during critical periods: evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
This position operates on a rolling weekly schedule, from Thursday to the following Thursday without interruption. You will be required to maintain enhanced availability Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., as well as during the lunch break (12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m.) and on weekends from Friday at 4:00 p.m. to Monday at 8:00 a.m. Please note that you will be scheduled for one on-call week every five weeks only. You will also have the option to work part-time during the day (2.5 days per week) in addition to your on-call duties by joining the day shifts.
Organizational Culture
You will join an experienced team at a major industrial site that is currently being decommissioned. Two nurses are already on staff, and you will work within a rigorous organizational framework at a highly secure site where technical expertise, reliability, and regulatory compliance are essential. On-call shifts are subject to a maximum response time of one hour, which is why you must live nearby. Initial training, though intensive, is provided by the employer to help you master the site’s specific requirements.
Compensation
For this position, you will receive a fixed on-call allowance of €255 gross per month, a weekly on-call bonus of €370 gross, as well as a bonus for off-site on-call duty paid based on response time (with a 25% premium for nights, Sundays, and holidays), and an additional travel allowance.
Benefits
- Full-time permanent employee status
- Attractive compensation package combining a fixed salary and on-call allowances
- Comprehensive initial technical training provided
- Monthly participation in meetings to maintain skills
- Integration into an existing on-site team
- Supervised work in a safe industrial environment
- Long-term assignment at a site undergoing decommissioning
- Equipment provided for the specific job
Qualifications
As a state-licensed nurse, you must be available to participate in mandatory initial training
