Hematologist (M/F) - Sallanches 74

As part of its business expansion, a medical facility located in Sallanches, Haute-Savoie, is seeking a new hematologist (M/F) for a permanent position.

The Organization
You will join a recognized public-interest foundation based primarily in Haute-Savoie and active in the healthcare and medico-social sectors. In addition, the facility offers specialized care in oncology and palliative care with a well-structured and stable medical team. The position is part of a medical team composed of several salaried practitioners and department heads, within a facility that includes a day hospital as well as beds for medical and palliative care. The position is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Compensation
- Between €90,000 and €120,000 gross per year

Responsibilities

1. Clinical practice and patient care

- Provide comprehensive care for patients with malignant blood disorders and certain benign conditions;
- Conduct follow-up, diagnostic, and post-treatment monitoring consultations;
- Conduct diagnostic consultations and provide support to patients and their families;
- Supervise treatments and ensure continuity of care.

2. Outpatient Clinic and Treatment Protocols

- Supervise and prescribe chemotherapy protocols;
- Oversee blood transfusion support;
- Help ensure the safety and improvement of treatment-related practices.

3. Technical Procedures

- Independently perform technical procedures specific to the specialty:
- Myelograms;
- Bone marrow biopsies (BMB);
- Lumbar punctures.

4. Medical Coordination and Practice Development

- Participate in regional multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs);
- Participate in multidisciplinary staff meetings;
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, risk management, and department projects;
- Develop relationships with local primary care physicians, regional oncologists, and referral centers (general hospitals/university hospitals).

5. Supervision and Continuity of Care

- Participate in the training and support of healthcare teams;
- Contribute to the professional development of staff;
- Participate in the facility’s on-call duties.
- Approximately 5 on-call shifts per month, rotated among practitioners, compensated at €188 gross on weekdays and €367 gross on weekends.

On-call duties involve minimal travel but require the ability to reach the facility within 30 minutes. Prescriptions can be issued remotely via the Osiris software.

Qualifications
A hematologist licensed in France or the European Union, currently registered or eligible for registration with the French Medical Board.
